Wondering.

Wondering.

Postby Xplicit on Thu May 12, 2011 7:37 am

Anyone heard of a "Trout Magnet"? Friend of mine was fishing a pay stream in Northern Virginia, and claimed he caught a citation size trout, (around 19lbs I believe?) on a 'magnet' with a float. Was wondering if that was another fish tale, or if it's worth trying out?

19 pounds is a monster trout! I'm not familiar with these--sort of look like something you'd use for crappie or walleye.
- Twas on the Fifth day that the fish and fowl were created.
- On the Sixth day He made man in His image and let him have dominion over the fish of the sea, and the fowl of the air.
- On the Seventh day the Lord rested, and I picked up my rod and gun.

Are these just small soft plastics or are they infused with something? I've heard of them but don't know much about them.

Soft plastic. Reminds me of the small tubes made for crappie/bluegill. They come with weighted hooks, in silver and gold, and a few bobbers. He said he tossed it up stream and let it float down - Mid drift, it stopped, and started floating against the current. Haha. I didn't see the fish, but I seen the fillets... Each fillet had its own freezer bag. lmao. 20 some odd inches long.
