When the Rapala Clackin’ Rap was released in 2009 it was available in only one size, the 3-1/8″ 7/8 oz, which many anglers found to be too heavy to manage on their light to medium power rods. Shortly thereafter Rapala added a 2-1/2″ 7/17 oz Clackin’ Rap to its lineup, which quickly became a staple in my fishing arsenal despite its undesirable price tag. Just recently along with the introduction of the new Clackin’ Crank and Clackin’ Minnow Rapala has additionally pushed out two new sizes for the Clackin’ Rap; a 2-3/4″ 5/8 oz and a 3-1/2″ 1-3/16 oz available in 19 color combinations. If you haven’t fished a Clackin’ Rap yet I would strongly suggest adding one to your tackle box especially for the pre-spawn and spawn periods of next year.

Awesome! The Clackin’ Rap is definitely one of my favorites from Rapala, I think the 2-3/4″ 5/8 oz will be a perfect size for my outfit, where can I get these?
Your best bet would be Tackle Warehouse, although they should be in stores like Dick’s sporting goods soon enough.
As a matter of fact, Dicks Sporting goods do have these in stock. While Tackle Warehouse may have more of a selection of colors, Dicks may also better suit you if your in need of a lure quickly, and have a store close by.
